The Empathy Project
Using empathy to encourage action in our communities
The Program
Envisioned, planned, and created by youth living in significantly different communities with a diverse mixture of cultural backgrounds, The Empathy Project is an 8 week sharing, learning a creating process which culminates in a public art piece that teaches us all about the world we live in. The project is designed to encourage deep levels of empathy and connection among young people, their families, schools, teachers, volunteers, funders and the greater community.
The Impact
Empathy has been proven to be one of the most important traits in successful people and this educational experience uses the essential characteristic to encourage these future impact leaders to take ownership of their future world and create cohesive integrated and empathetic communities.
